It was born as a small fort, outpost in defense of the Castle of Pieve di Gusaliggio. As centuries went by, it lost its original function (in year 1700, precisely), and it was turned into a farmhouse instead, with a turret and the surrounding land included.
During our renovation process, we decided to remove all the newest parts (built after 1900), restoring only the original and most ancient sections. In doing so, we literally brought this farmhouse back in time.
In fact, the goal of our job was to bring this building back to what it looked like in 1700. This was achieved by using old materials, scrupulously selected, recovered and shaped in order to be faithfully suitable to the original structure of the building.
